News:

One of Dan’s images, “Battlefield Mantis,” was a Silver Award winner in the Amateur Animals category of the first annual FotoWeekDC juried photo competition.  Another, “Watching Over the Capitol,” received an Honorable Mention in the Spirit of DC category.  Both images were part of an exhibition of competition finalists on display in Georgetown November 15-22 2008.

One of Dan’s images, “Waterfall and Ice at Ash Cave,” was selected as one of the Top Ten images of the North American Nature Photography Association’s 2009 Showcase competition.  Another, “Battlefield Mantis,” was selected among the Top 100.  Both were on display at the 2009 NANPA Summit in Albuquerque in February 2009 and are featured on NANPA’s website during 2009.  A third image, “Red-winged Blackbird,” was one of an additional 150 runners-up.  All three images were published in NANPA’s 2009 journal “Expressions.”
